County Fair Assistance Fall 2023

Partner with Kiwanis of Griffin to assist with gate operations for the annual county fair. Rotary International has emphasized partnering in community service projects and the Kiwanis Fair served as a perfect opportunity for us to meet and greet people of all ages while engaging our membership to assist their efforts. Rotarians were asked to help volunteer to serve shifts at the entrance gate as many of the Kiwanis members were serving throughout the fairgrounds. The proceeds from the fair benefit local high school seniors with college scholarships and area shelters in need of food or supplies. We communicated with Kiwanis Club that our Rotary Club desired to partner on this community effort. The Spalding County Kiwanis Fair is an annual project that is organized by the Kiwanis Club. The benefits of the fundraiser will be the scholarships and the food/supplies that are shared with area shelters. Griffin Daybreak Rotary plans to continue to partner and assist in this fundraising effort next fall.
