This is the Griffin Daybreak Club's Legacy Project.
The Griffin Daybreak Rotary Club presents an award each year to one student at each of the eleven elementary schools. This award is presented at the Honor's Day Program in front of the entire school, faculty, and parents. The award was named in memory of our past member Paul Ragan and his selfless service to others
Our club presents this award to the student whom the teachers feel strives to succeed in school, their neighborhood and community through hard word and determination.

We explain that Our "Mighty Acorn" is only an acorn today, but like an acorn that grows into a "Mighty Oak Tree" through continued character building, selfless service to others, academics and spreading of good will, it is our hope the recipient of the award will someday give back to our community in a way that builds character, education, and self esteem in others. We let them know, "
